Holistic therapies have been my passion since I began working as health and fitness journalist on national magazines around twenty five years ago. In the mid ‘90s, I trained to be a holistic practitioner and have ITEC qualifications in Holistic Massage, Aromatherapy and Indian Head Massage, and an AOR qualification in Reflexology. I am also trained in Hopi Ear Candling and Ayurvedic Massage. I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which plays a vital role in setting standards in our industry.
I have worked as a complementary therapist at St Wilfrid’s Hospice since 2000 and have personal experience of the many challenges and rewards facing therapists in this specialist field. Some of my clients have been touched by cancer in some way and find that complementary therapy can offer great comfort and support.
As well as offering treatments, I write books and run courses and talks for beginners and therapists in different aspects of complementary therapy. You can find out more about my books, courses and treatments from my website.
