SHIATSU AND QI GONG
Shiatsu, literally meaning ‘finger pressure’, is a fully clothed holistic therapy which works in similar ways as Acupuncture, but the Shiatsu practitioner will use their hands rather than needles, and gentle stretches and joint rotations are also used. Shiatsu acts to balance the body’s channels of vital energy to promote your well-being, support good health and prevent illness. Shiatsu treatments are deeply relaxing. Typically the Shiatsu practitioner will take a lifestyle and medical history before making an energetic evaluation taking into account your reasons for coming.

In a recent independent cross-European Study, “The Effects and Benefits of Shiatsu”, Shiatsu was found to be effective in treating and reducing symptoms (between 85% – 89%). Improvements were found in maintaining health, body structure, back pain, relief of tension / stress, low energy / fatigue, digestive and well-woman problems, emotional support and personal development.

Kim qualified as a Shiatsu Practitioner in 1992. He now runs a busy practice in West Sussex and teaches regularly for the Brighton, Manchester and London branches of The Shiatsu College.
